Who is in the “official delegation”?

Official delegations should consist of a total of up to four members. They include a Minister or equivalent (as Head of Delegation), with the remaining three places being taken by up to two union leaders and one teaching professional. The teaching professional should be a current classroom practitioner, a representative of a teacher preparation programme or a school leader.

Each official delegation may be accompanied by up to two additional observers.

The summit’s programme includes both open sessions (open to media and live streamed) and closed in-person sessions. Both the opening and closing sessions are open to all delegates and the media. The core of the summit will include three thematic sessions which will be open to official delegations and observers only.

You may register the official delegation and observers via the link here. All participants should note that each participating country should only submit one single registration for the entire delegation. Each delegation should indicate a primary point of contact (POC) during registration. All updates and requests from the organising team will be communicated to the POC. Any changes regarding the registration should be communicated to istp2025@komum.is.

There is volcanic activity in the vicinity of Reykjavík with frequent eruptions in a remote area on the Reykjanes peninsula. These have had little to no effect on flights to and from Keflavík Airport or transfer from Keflavík Airport to Reykjavík. The possibility of a shift in volcanic activity that could potentially affect travel is deemed unlikely but can, however, not be ruled out.
